Laurent-Perrier man joins English winery

English winery, Sixteen Ridges, has named Steve Brandwood as its new wine sales director.

Brandwood (pictured) joins the Herefordshire estate from Champagne Laurent-Perrier where he spent 10 years as UK sales director. He has a total of 35 years experience in both the on- and off-trades.

Sixteen Ridges winemaker, Simon Day, said of the appointment: “With an increasing number of awards being won for our still and sparkling wines, both in the UK and China, and subsequent growth in demand from the UK and abroad, the existing team has been really stretched of late.

“We are very excited by Steve’s appointment, and look forward to learning from his experience and knowledge of the industry.”
