Bonhams announces autumn line-up
Auctioneer Bonhams has announced the line-up for its first fine wine sale of the autumn, which will be dominated by Burgundy and Bordeaux.
The auction in London on 15 September will feature a strong array of fine white Burgundy, with Montrachet from Domaine Ramonet and Domaine Etienne Sauzet and Chevalier-Montrachet from Domaine Leflaive.
The leading lot of the sale will likely be a case of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Romanée-Conti 1988 which has an estimate of £100,000-£120,000.
In addition there will be cases of top claret from the 2009 and 2010 vintages, including 2010 Mouton Rothschild, Lafite and Cheval Blanc and 2009 Margaux and Latour.
The head of Bonhams Wine Department, Richard Harvey MW, said: “Following our best ever sale in July this year we’ve assembled another great selection of wine. Demand continues to strengthen for the traditional areas of Bordeaux and Burgundy and prices across the board are noticeably on the rise helped by Continental European, American and Far Eastern buyers benefiting from the weaker pound.”
