Asda appoints new BWS boss
Asda has appointed Andrew Tiffin to head up its BWS team.
Andrew Tiffin, whose role is senior director for BWS, has been the category director of Impulse grocery since July 2013, having joined the Leeds-based business in 2005. He previously spent three years as a buying manager in BWS between 2008-11. He has replaced Tracy Ford, who has moved to another part of the business as senior director of ambient strategy.
Ford joined the BWS team in July 2011 and oversaw the launch of its online wine shop in October 2013.

In July, the retailer promoted spirit buyer Lynsey Grace as senior buying manager for wine to head up the wine category following the departure of senior buyer of wine Ed Ashley for a role in Australia.
Asda’s senior wine selection manager Philippa Carr MW, who created the Wine Atlas range eighteen months ago, also left the company at the start of the year.
