Veuve Clicquot boat trip in pictures

Champagne brand, Veuve Clicquot took to Hong Kong’s high seas for a fun, frothy and frivolous nautical trip complete with lashings of bubbles, Brut and boating banter.

As part of its worldwide travel-themed campaign #clicquotjourney, Veuve Clicquot stopped off in Hong Kong and took lucky guests on board the Aqua Luna, Hong Kong’s prized junk boat.

Reminiscent of the vessels Hong Kong’s pirates and smugglers used to ply the South China sea looking for treasure – and sometimes people – the Aqua Luna, decked out in Veuve Clicquot’s vivid yellow hues spent the afternoon between Hong Kong and Tsim Sha Tsui where Yellow Label Brut was poured in abundance.

All aboard! Two of Veuve Clicquot’s brand ambassadors welcomes guests and gives them the boarding pass for passage onto the Aqua Luna.

Could be a real pirate ship.. the Aqua Luna with its traditional red sails is a firm favourite among Hong Kong’s partying types.

Once safely board, guests had endless Yellow Label Brut and dim sim in travel-themed takeaway boxes.

Branded Champagne bottle travel cases, Veuve Clicquot fans and lights were on board, beautifully framed by the Aqua Luna’s traditional teak interior.

A particular highlight was Veuve Clicquot’s ‘postal service’ which promised to mail postcards free to anywhere in the world. Cue everyone wanting to get involved and then realising that they didn’t know their friends’ postal addresses. “I just keep in touch via Facebook,” was a common lament.

Oh, you know… just hanging out with models. dbHK’s Lucy enjoys a glass and tries to blend in with Veuve Clicquot’s glamour girls.

An afternoon well spent. Everyone raises a glass to Madame Clicquot who proclaimed her Champagne to be enjoyed “from New York to St Petersburg.” It certainly was in Hong Kong.
