Selfridges take on new premium tonic range
Selfridges has listed Franklin & Sons’ range of premium tonic and mixers aimed at a “modern breed of discerning drinkers”.
First launched in December 2015, Franklin & Sons range of premium tonics and mixers are made with all-natural ingredients and tap into the UK’s growing cocktail culture. According to a 2015 report by Mintel, on-trade outlets that serve cocktails sell 36% more spirits than those that don’t.
Responding to this trend Franklin & Sons, in conjunction with the International bartenders’ school, Shaker UK, has developed a range of bespoke cocktails. Its signature serve, named 1886, is a blend of sloe gin and Franklin’s lemon tonic, made from gently pressed Sicilian lemons.
“The mixers have been well-positioned to capitalise on the growing demand from modern consumers for better craftsmanship and discovery in a limited and growing category”, said Simon Green, Franklin & Sons’ marketing director. “Franklin & Sons is set to engage with the modern breed of discerning drinkers who expect quality and a better drinking experience.”
Franklin’s full range of four tonics are available now at all Selfridges in 200ml embossed bottles.
