Café Royal launches Givenchy perfume cocktail set

London’s Hotel Café Royal is to launch a collection of botanical cocktails in collaboration with Parfums Givenchy, having matched each cocktail to one of ten scents.

The Green Room’s Oud Flamboyant

Available at the hotel’s Green Bar from 22 August, each of the ten cocktails have been developed by bar manager Derren King to reflect the L’Atelier de Givenchy fragrance collection and the bar’s focus on botanical ingredients.

The fragrances will be kept behind the bar for guests to sample before choosing their preferred cocktail from the list, inviting guests to follow their nose when selecting their cocktail.

Each cocktail has its own distinct colour and personality to reflect its corresponding fragrance, and will be served with an appropriately scented button, created by Givenchy.

The cocktail collection will be available in the hotel’s Green Bar from 22 August to 30 September 2016, priced at £15 per cocktail.

Ambre Tigré

A blend of Pampero Anniversario Rum and La Maison Fontaine, chocolate liqueur with chocolate bitters, nutmeg and almond, topped with pear juice and a squeeze of lime.

Bois Martial

Bois Martial takes Brazilian spirit Velho Barreiro Cachaca as its base which is mixed with Vanilla pod syrup, Yuzu juice and topped with Veuve Clicquot NV Champagne, garnished with a Marasca cherry.

Chypre Caresse

The summery Chypre Caresse is a mix of Slingsby London Dry Gin with exotic aromas of freshly squeezed grapefruit, agave syrup and Peychauds Bitters, topped with Prosecco and Maraschino.

Cuir Blanc

Clean and crisp, Cuir Blanc is a blend of Konicks Tail Vodka and Buchu leaf reduction, mixed with flamed Liquorice root and a squeeze of lemon zest.

Gaïac Mystique

Dark and seductive, the Gaïac Mystique is a blend of Botanist Gin, Disaronno Amaretto and pomegranate juice, topped with dates and ‘seasoned’ with a squeeze of lime juice.

Immortelle Tribal

The beautifully vibrant Immortelle Tribal gets its colour not only from a splash of Tabasco, but a helping of Goji Berry syrup. A blend of Angostura 1919 Rum and Cointreau, this powerful serve is finished with a twist of lime and smattering of dried chilli.

Iris Harmonique

Powerfully aromatic, Iris Harmonique incorporates key elements of the notes found it its namesake perfume. Infused in-house, its Ketel One Vodka base is washed with coconut fat before being mixed with kumquat liqueur and lemon zest.

Néroli Originel

Taking Néroli – a sweet, honeyed scent produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree – as its inspiration, Café Royal’s Néroli Originel is a blend of Bulldog Gin, Dupont Calvados VSOP, Lapsang Souchong tea soda, lemon and Bokers Bitters.

Oud Flamboyant

An impressive display, Oud Flamboyant comes garnished with a lightly smoking honeycomb, with woody nuances achieved through a blend of Nikka Coffey Grain whisky, coconut noir iced tea, Manuka honey and flash flamed cinnamon.

Ylang Austral

Inspired by the scents of the orient, Ylang Austral is a blend of Tanqueray Rangpur Gin, Jasmine pearl syrup, Lemongrass, mandarin oil and Shiso leaves topped with Prosecco.
