Tobermory offers rare malt with new releases
The Tobermory Distillery has launched two limited edition malts as part of a new series, which will include the chance to win a 42-year-old malt by ballot.
Exclusively available in Germany, the first two new whiskies are an 18-year-old Bourbon Cask and 20 year-old Sherry Cask both made in very small batches.
They will be followed by four more whiskies and each bottle will come with a tab for collectors to tear off.
A buyer who amasses a tab from each of the six new malts can then enter a draw for the chance to win one of just 650 bottles of Tobermory 42-Year-Old, which is worth £2,500 a bottle.
Alison Gibb, global marketing manager for Distell’s Malts Portfolio, said:
“The two latest single malt releases are certain to appeal to those who appreciate the craftsmanship and passion that go into every single bottle of Tobermory.
“The Tobermory 18-Year-Old Bourbon Cask and 20-Year-Old Sherry Cask epitomise the flavour, aroma and character which make Tobermory such a unique Hebridean whisky. As one of the oldest commercial distilleries still in operation, the latest editions offer whisky fans, collectors and connoisseurs alike the chance to experience the taste of our small batch releases.”
