A pop-up Rhône wine bar and restaurant headed up by one to watch chef Adam Rawson is to launch in London this month.
Chef Adam Rawson
Called The Rhône Touch, the venture combining wine, food and an interactive wine-themed art exhibition will run from 21-31 July at the Platform Theatre Bar at Central Saint Martins in King’s Cross.
During the 10-day pop-up Rawson, formerly a chef at Peruvian restaurant Pachamama in Marylebone, will serve a modern British menu design to pair with Rhône wines, which start from £5 a glass.
The menu will change every day and will be formed of a selection of sharing plates to be enjoyed at communal tables.
Among the dishes on offer are as 60-day aged beef burgers with Muscat onions and aioli; and charred leek, brown butter, hazelnut and helper knolle.
Also appearing on the menu will be sea bass ceviche with yuzu and grapes; Ibérico jamon, green olive and membrio sarnies; and coffee husk tart with white peach and cacao nibs.
Dinner paired with three Rhône wines from across the appellation costs £49.
Created by London College of Communication students, the ten immersive works in the wine-themed exhibition can be smelt, touched and heard.
