New board chairman for Santa Rita
Chilean winery Viña Santa Rita has announced that Baltazar Sánchez Guzmán is to be the new chairman of the board.
Sánchez is the most senior of several new appointments at the winery. In addition, Arturo Claro Feránandez was named vice chairman.
Likewise, José Ignacio Figueroa Elgueta was voted to the board. He takes the place of his late father, Juan Agustín Figueroa Yávar who died in July. Figueroa already sits on the board of the Claro Group which owns Santa Rita.
Sánchez was responsible for evaluating Santa Rita prior to its acquisition by the Claro Group and he was the winery’s first CEO and has served on the board continuously since then, including a prior stint as chairman.
