Little Bird Gin launches pop-up bar
South London-based craft gin Little Bird has launched an al fresco pop-up bar for the summer months at the Hilton Bankside.
Called The Little Garden, the terrace bar will pop up this summer at the hotel’s Distillery bar until early September.
Decked out by florist All For Love, the bar will feature a grass floor, mismatched flower pots and vintage barrels filled with herbs and summer plants, with blankets provided for when the mercury dips.
A bespoke cocktail menu has been designed by Little Bird to bring out the gin’s citrus notes that hail from its grapefruit and orange botanicals.
In addition to twists on G&Ts and Negronis, the menu features the A Little Bird Told Me, which riffs on the Prohibition era Last Word.
Executive chef Paul Bates has created a gin-infused tasting menu designed to be paired with the cocktails featuring dishes like tiger milk tuna with red onion ceviche and Negroni-marinated tiger prawns with a vermouth and herb emulsion.
“Being a London Dry made in Peckham, there couldn’t have been a better fit for us in terms of brand partnership,” said Laura Sullivan of Little Bird.
