Starting from 8 August and running for eight weeks, a new craft beer festival will be in town championing Hong Kong’s thriving beer scene and set in the scenic surrounds of Hong Kong’s Hullett House garden.

Throughout the festival there will be beer quizzes, beer pong, and the Mariners’ Rest restaurant will create a range of beer-infused cuisine and a ‘hoppy hour’ promotion.

The running order of the breweries in the spotlight is: Black Kite, Lion Rock, Mak’s, City Brew, Kowloon Bay Brewery, Moonzen, Hong Kong Beer and Young Master Ales.

The craft beer festival will run until 8 October with tickets starting from HK$200 for online reservation.

Hong Kong has recently seen a surge of local craft beer operations. Some former industrial warehouses on the outskirts of the city have been converted into breweries and Hong Kong’s new generation of drinkers have diversified their drinking habits, away from big beer brands.
