Last call to enter dbHK’s 2016 HITT tasting comp
The drinks business Hong Kong has put the final call out for registrations for its second Hong Kong International Top Tasters competition in October.
The competition will take place on 22 October 2016 at the Grand Hyatt in Hong Kong.
So, how good a taster do you think you are? Can you tell the difference between New World and Old World without seeing the bottle? How about regions and varieties?
Come and join the drinks business HK and its co-host Acker Merrall & Condit (Asia) for a night of blind tasting, fine wines, dinner and a fantastic charity auction on 22 October 2016 at the Grand Hyatt.
This year, dbHK’s HITT event will be in aid of Po Leung Kuk, Hong Kong’s leading social service organisation and fundraiser, with a range of services covering different areas of the community, including children and orphans, the elderly and disadvantaged youths.
The early bird rate is still applicable until 2 September at HK$3,000 per team, after that the rate increases to HK$3,500.
Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, including a Coravin Model 2 Elite set for each winning team member and a sponsored three-day visit to Crus Classés de Sauternes et Barsac en 1855 (CCSB) with more to be announced soon.
Auction items also include: Imperial of 2005 Château Climens directly from the château, a mixed case of two Magnums of 1993 Echezeaux Grand Cru and 1996 Echezeaux Grand Cru from Domaine Dujac, directly from the domaine, a one-day visit to Tesseron Cognac and Château Pontet Canet with lunch and dinner included (for up to 6 people), a Magnum of 1982 Mas de Daumas Gassac in homage to Aimé Guibert (directly from the estate), a Jeroboam of Bollinger Special Cuvée, plus many more exciting lots to be announced. All of the wine prizes are sourced directly from the estates, ensuring excellent provenance!
The drinks business Hong Kong is also thrilled to welcome the panel of four judges, lead by Debra Meiburg MW.
Also, for those who will not join the blind tasting, early bird dinner tickets are available for HK$2,380 and the competition wines will be hosted in the tasting corner, so that everyone can experience the mystery wines!
