Top 10 unusual whiskies on Catawiki

The world of whisky is full of curiosities for collectors to covet, with online auction sites offering no end of treasures for the whisky enthusiast.

Founded in 2008, Catawiki was originally designed as a website where collectors could manage and keep track of their collections online, hence the name Catawiki, which combines “catalogue” with “wiki”.

In 2011, Catawiki began hosting weekly auctions in various categories, including art, antiques, classic cars, watches, jewellery, fashion, books, and stamps, allowing collectors to easily buy and sell specialist collectibles online.

Today, its auctions are overseen by a team of specialist auctioneers, with Daniel Elswood Catawiki’s resident whisky expert.

Ahead of Father’s Day, Elswood has shared his pick of the some of the most interesting whiskies to have recently been bought and sold on the online auction platform.
