Paris the booziest city in the world
Paris has been confirmed as the booziest city in the world, with more wine drunk in the City of Light than in any other, new research has revealed.

The study, conducted by INSEEC business school and the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) found that 690 million bottles of wine are uncorked in Paris a year, with consumption her capita for citizens aged 15 or over at 52 litres.
While Paris may be the world capital of wine, Buenos Aires in Argentina wasn’t too far behind on 457 million bottles enjoyed annually and 32 litres per capita.
London was down in fourth place behind the little-known industrial German city of Ruhr, with 369 million bottles of wine drunk in the Big Smoke per year.
New York lagged behind in fifth place on 301 million bottles and 12 litres per capita.
Making up the final five were Mlian (301m), Los Angeles (241m), Naples (188m), Madrid (181m) and Rome (177m) respectively.
