Lanson prepared to pour at Wimbledon

Champagne Lanson is set to take part in its 39th associated partnership year with Wimbledon, launching its now trademark neoprene-jacketed bottles to mark the occasion.

Lanson is the only Champagne poured throughout the tournament, a position the Champagne house has held since 2001 with its fizz available in all the bars and hospitality marquees in the grounds of The All England Club.

“It is very exciting to be able to continue to be a part of the Wimbledon story and we have ambitious plans to build on its success next year as we approach our 40th-associated year with The Championships, Wimbledon,” said Paul Beavis, managing director of Champagn Lanson International.

Once again, Lanson has released a limited number of bottles dressed in a neoprene jacket, this year designed to resemble a tennis shirt. After chilling the bottle, the neoprene jackets can keep the Champagne cool for up to an hour.

“Our annual Wimbledon-themed neoprene jackets complement our traditional Black and Rose Label bottles and we are proud to keep up with the tradition. They also provide an instant gift solution for everyone throughout the summer. We hope to build on this and through our other fun activities in retail outlets and in the on trade.”

The jackets will be available with limited edition bottles of Lanson Black Label Brut NV for £30 and Lanson Rose Label Brut Rosé NV for £35. Champagne Lanson’s limited edition Cuveé Lanson White Label Sec NV bottle will also feature The All England Club’s logo and colours.

Lanson’s association with the Wimbledon Championships is part of a wider marketing campaign entitled “the perfect start to summer”, which encapsulates the Champagne brand’s association with three major sporting events this summer; Chestertons Polo in the Park from 3 June, The Championships Wimbledon, which starts on 27 July, and Henley Festival on 6 July.
