Hello Kitty Café opens in London
We’ve had an owl café in London and a feline and wine bar in Denver, now comes news of Europe’s first Hello Kitty Café, which has opened in Soho.
Taking up residence in the basement of Soho bakery Cutter & Squidge, interiors have been crafted to look like a secret garden, with the adorable Sanrio character adorning the walls.
The pop-up café will offer afternoon teas featuring cheese scones with red pepper relish, coronation crackers, apple pie mousse, vanilla cookies and ice cream.
The bakery will also be serving a selection of biscuits and cakes inspired by Hello Kitty’s favourite snacks, alongside recipe books and tote bags.
“We are beyond excited to be the first European café to host this beloved character – our only worry is that the range will be too cute to eat,” said Cutter & Squidge’s co-owner Annabel Lui.
The Hello Kitty Café opened this week and will run at Cutter & Squidge for three months.
