Best-value Proseccos priced under £10

Prosecco is the sparkler that can seemingly do no wrong. Loved for its easy-drinking, fuss-free approach, the Italian sparkling wine has amassed a legion of loyal supporters.

Its value has never been in question, with its relative cost to other sparklers, including Champagne, helping to turn it into more of an everyday wine, rather than being reserved for special occasions.

However the Italian sparkler is now also building a reputation for quality, at all price points. As the Drinks Business Prosecco Masters proved, variation of styles within the category is widening and quality is increasing. Furthermore, the gap between DOC and DOCG Prosecco is narrowing, as DOC wines catch up to their typically higher-quality, high-priced counterparts. Proseccos produced in the DOCG of Asolo in particular meanwhile are gaining a steady reputation for quality.

In all, for those looking for a good-value bottle of fizz, it’s hard to discount Prosecco. Here, we have round up the examples that achieved a silver medal in the 2016 Drinks Business Prosecco Masters, and were priced under £10, representing the very best-value bottles of the competition.
