What’s on at Vinexpo Hong Kong

In advance of next week’s Vinexpo Hong Kong wine and spirits fair we bring you the definitive guide to the masterclasses and events, day by day.

The fair runs from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 May at the Wan Chai harbour front Hong Kong Convention Centre, where visitors can choose from over 50 events during the three days of the exhibition.

The full listing of events can be seen below, but whatever you do, don’t forget to visit the Spirits Bar on Level 1, stand GH67, which will be open from 12pm to 6pm each day of the show.

Hosted by ourselves, the bar will be serving a broad range of cocktails made using boutique spirits by Hong Kong’s best mixologists, and will also feature spectacular flairing shows. So come along and sip a cocktail or marvel at the skills of Hong Kong’s leading bartenders.

We are also delighted to announce that on Wednesday 25 May from 13.00 to 14.30 at Vinexpo Hong Kong, the drinks business will announce this year’s recipient of the Asian Wine Personality award staged in conjunction with Vinexpo. The event will be held in The Academy, Room 206/207/208, Level 2 of The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Asian Wine Personality award recognises outstanding achievement in wine, with a particular emphasis on promoting it within Asia.

The award was launched at Vinexpo Hong Kong in 2012, when the recipient was Judy Chan, CEO of China’s Grace Vineyards. In 2014 it was presented to Vincent Cheung, the Asian grand maître of the Commanderie de Bordeaux.

However, this is an invitation only event, so if you would like to attend, please contact Sheila Crisp: sheila.crisp@thedrinksbusiness.com
