NVV announces details of HK sale
Napa Valley Vintners has announced the date of its ‘Premiere Napa Valley Hong Kong Auction’ this November and the names of the wineries involved.
The organisation is holding its first ever sale in Hong Kong on 3 November and features an array of “exclusive” wines specially bottled by producers such as Duckhorn, Dalla Valle, Cakebread and Shafer for the auction.
Each lot is comprised of 60 bottles, specially labelled and numbered for the occasion.
Emma Swain, chairwoman of the NVV board of directors, commented: “This is a terrific opportunity for collectors in Asia to obtain some of Napa Valley’s rarest wines.
“We’re honoured for the chance to share these unique wines, which represent the pinnacle of quality and innovation in Napa Valley winemaking.”
Before the sale – which is being conducted by Christie’s – there will be a press conference and tasting hosted by Simon Tam, Debra Meiburg MW and several NVV winemakers, while additional events in Shanghai and Beijing will take place during an NVV market tour this September.
