London gets its first Prosecco & truffle bar
Capitalising on Britain’s unquenchable thirst for Prosecco, two sisters have opened a bar specialising in Prosecco and truffles in London’s Camden.
Named “Trufflesecco”, the Italian sparkling wine bar is the brainchild of Irina and Lana Bondar and will boast a menu focusing on the flavours of Florence.
Interiors are a mix of industrial and rustic, and feature open brickwork, green shutters lining one wall, mismatched wooden chairs and metal wine racks.
Many of the dishes will be laced with truffles, from black truffle risotto and white truffle pasta to truffle burrata, truffle salami and artichokes with truffle cream.
“The premise of Trufflesecco is an experience that combines a passion for high quality food with a fun and social space – a mini-escape from the city rich with atmosphere,” said Irina Bondar.
The Proseccos, from the likes of Ca’ di Rajo, Col di Rocca and Sorelle Bronca, are designed to act as a refreshing accompaniment to the decadent dishes
In addition to Prosecco, the bar will serve a selection of Italian wines, classic cocktails like the Bellini and Rossini, and truffle grappa for brave imbibers.
Truffleseco also features a deli selling truffle-based products, from sauces and oils to risotto. All of the wines on the menu are available to buy to take away.
