Concha y Toro launches wine advice app
Concha y Toro UK has launched a free advice app aimed at off-trade retailers to help maximise wine sales on the shop floor.
The app is aimed at convenience wine retailer and offers advice to help maximise sales on the shop floor
Called ‘WineWise’, retailers can access the app via their smartphones, which contains quick hints and tips covering topics including what to stock based on consumer trends and best-selling wines, advice on effective point of sale displays and advice on how to secure sales while on the shop floor.
“Wine is a complicated category and easy to turn-off retailers and shoppers. WineWise (wine-wise.co.uk) offers a simple, free solution to covering the basics – stocking category best sellers and block-o-grams – while getting comfortable with fast facts to recommend wines to shoppers,” said Laurie Billson, Customer Marketing Manager at Concha y Toro UK. “At a total level the wine category is worth £5.1bn – or over twice as much as carbonated soft drinks, but rarely gets focus from retailers. With just a few swipes, retailers can learn about wines, read case studies about stores making it work, and start turning those ideas into profit.”
Developed in partnership with digital agency Grand Central Creative, the app will be available from May 2016, with registration via wine-wise.co.uk
