Christie’s appoints Jasper Morris as Hospices consultant
Burgundy expert Jasper Morris MW has been named as the new senior consultant for Christie’s at the Hospices de Beaune wine auction.
Morris (pictured), who is also Burgundy director for Berry Bros & Rudd, will join the Christie’s team purely in relation to the annual charity sale, which the auctioneer has run since 2005.
His role at the London merchant remains unchanged.
In a statement Christie’s said: “Jasper’s role will be to work alongside the Christie’s team during wine tastings and international events, promoting the wines of the Hospices de Beaune as well as developing global interest in the annual auction.”
Morris is a recognised authority on Burgundy. He has lived in the Côte d’Or since 1990 and his 2010 book Inside Burgundy is considered an essential reference work on the region’s wines.
