Lustau winemaker passes away
Manuel Lozano, winemaker at Sherry bodega Lustau, has passed away suddenly, according to reports.
Lozano had worked at the winery since 1999 and last year was named as the IWC’s ‘Best Fortified Winemaker’ for the seventh consecutive year – a record unsurpassed in the history of the competition.
The reason for his death has not been given. He is survived by a wife and three sons. He was 61.
