Kingsland has completed the integration of Leeds-based Bottle Green into its business and is planning to showcase a revamped product list to trade delegates at the UK’s biggest wine trade fair.
The acquisition formed part of Kingsland’s plan to become the UK’s leading independent wine supplier by providing what it calls a “full category solution”.
Managing director of Kingsland Drinks, Andy Sagar, said: “We’re thrilled to see the integration complete, just in time for this year’s London Wine Fair. Our customers are at the heart of what we do and we’ve made great investments to lay a foundation in line with their business objectives.”
Kingsland will showcase highlights of its expansive portfolio of over 100 brands from 13 countries, covering entry-level to super premium brands, it said.
It is also launching a new brand of its own called ‘Curious’, however detail of what the product will be has not been made public.
Kingsland says its brands account for 10% of the UK’s wine sales, shifting 90 million litres of wine a year.
“From reopening Kingsland’s British Winery and investing in WinePRO consumer insight, to installing a new carbonation line, we have the capability to offer quality products and a breadth of service for our producer partners and customers alike”, Mr Sagar said.
The London Wine Fair takes place next Tuesday to Thursday at London’s Olympia exhibition centre.
