Is Kelsey Grammer opening a brewery?
Actor Kelsey Grammer, known for his long-running roles in US sitcoms Cheers and Frasier, is rumoured to be opening a brewery in upstate New York.
The picture of Kelsey Grammer and Paul Leon which was posted to Leone’s Facebook and Instagram account, before being deleted.
According to reports by New York Upstate, the 61-year-old actor is planning to open a brewery called Faith American Brewing Co. in the Catskills region, according to a Paul Leone, executive director of the New York State Brewers Association.
Leone reportedly posted a message on Facebook, which appears to have now been removed, featuring a photo of himseld with Grammer holding a NYSBA t-shirt and the caption: “Look who’s opening a brewery in New York State”.
Apparently the brewery will be located in Margaretville, a village on the northern edge of the Catskill Park. According to the website, Leon said Grammer already had a property in the Catskills region and is looking to renovate a barn and start growing hops and barley.
The plans have not been confirmed by Grammer, who was said to be “cautious” about releasing information, said Leone.
Grammer shot to fame in the 1980s on the TV sitcom Cheers, before taking on the leading role in long-running US comedy Frasier. He also voices the character of Sideshow Bob in The Simpsons.
Leon has since removed both the Facebook and Instagram post announcing the brewery.
