The Charlie’s Angels star launched Barrymore Rosé at the Pebble Beach Food & wine Festival in Carmel, California, on Saturday.
According to the actress, the pink, made from Pinot Noir, is “creamy” with notes of “peach, apricot and grapefruit” and “enough citrus to keep it crisp”. She recommends pairing it with sushi.
“I like easy-drinking wines. What I don’t like is when easy-drinking wines are written off as having lack of complexity,” she told Pop Sugar.
The wine is made by Kris Kato of Carmel Road, and Barrymore is hands on in the winemaking process, overseeing every step from grape to bottle.
Barrymore also makes a Monterey Pinot Noir called Drew’s Blend with Kato, the inaugural vintage of which was given 91-points by Wine Spectator.
