Ziraldo Estates presented its Riesling and Vidal icewines from Niagara at a series of successful consumer tastings in Kolkata and Hyderabad.

Canadian icewine ambassador and Ziraldo Estate owner, Donald Ziraldo said that even though he was unable to attend the events personally, his wife, Victoria was able to create a film showing the icewine harvest and shots from the Ziraldo Vineyards in the Niagara Pensinsula.

Keith Edgar, a sommelier and wine consultant based in Kolkata was on hand to guide guests through the tastings which were held in Kolkata and Delhi with a third happening in Delhi on Friday, 25 April where Ziraldo will also conduct the tasting via Skype.

Ziraldo founded Inniskillin Wines in 1971 alongside business partner, Karl J. Kaiser and in 1998, received the Order of Canada for his pioneering work in icewine production. He left Inniskillin in the hands of the Constellation Group in 2006 and since then has been producing Riesling and Vidal icewine under the Ziraldo Estates label.
