Winner of HK Bacardi Legacy announced
Kervin Unido, bartender at Mr & Mrs Fox, has been named the winner of the Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan leg of the 2016 Bacardi Legacy competition.
Unido, the mixologist at Swire Group’s Mr & Mrs Fox, has scooped the award for his cocktail, Reborn Padre Blanco, which uses Bacardi’s Superior White Rum, lime juice, egg white and lager.
Bacardi’s Ray Tang said: “To Bacardi, the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition is not only a cocktail competition, but a family reunion with our friends in the industry. Congratulations to Kervin who did a great job in our Legacy journey to Hong Kong.”
Unido’s creation, tipped its hat to Ernest Hemingway who loved to drink a classic Daiquiri at the El Floridita Bar in Havana.
Now in its third year in Hong Kong, the Bacardi Legacy sees bartenders from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan battle it out to create an original cocktail and earn a place in the finals, which will be held this year in San Francisco in April.
Reborn Padre Blanco is now available at Mr & Mrs Fox for HK$80.
