Vinehoo takes on He Lan Qing Xue winery
One of the most popular wine websites in China, Vinehoo, has announced a new distribution partnership with Chinese winery He Lan Qing Xue.
One of the most renowned Chinese wineries, He Lan Qing Xue has recently started a new distribution partnership with Huizhaojiu (惠找酒), a B2B brand under Vinehoo (酒斛网), one of the most popular websites in the wine community.
He Lan Qing Xue’s flagship wine, Jia Bei Lan – a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and native Chinese varietal, Cabernet Gernischt, won the international trophy at the 2011 Decanter World Wine Awards and is widely recognised and sought-after among Chinese wine consumers.
The official partnership was signed on 27 February, presented by He Lan Qing Xue’s founder, Rong Jian; winery consultant Li Demei; chief winemaker, Zhangjin; Vinehoo’s founder Huang Shaohe and wine critic and writer, Lin Dianli.
Huizhaojiu posseses strong influence over both the media and F&B channels in China – with Vinehoo being one of the most popular online wine communities – and Zhangjin credits its success for being the driving force behind the partnership.
“After getting to know the team of Huizhaojiu, I’m deeply moved by the passion of this young team. Anyone who has such a passion for premium Chinese wine with such serious attitude and professionalism shall succeed in their goal.”
She also added: “Through Jai Bei Lan, one of the most prestigious Chinese wine brands, Huizhaojiu can extend its advantage beyond imported brands to premium boutique Chinese wine brands. While Jia Bei Lan can also greatly benefit from Huizhaojiu’s marketing and brand building platform.”
Previously, Jia Bei Lan has been distributed since 2012 by The Wine Republic – partially owned by Australia’s Rathbone Wine Group.
