Tesco launches finest* wine case
Fans of South African wine can now pick up a four-bottle case of British supermarket Tesco’s own-label finest* South African wine for just £16.50 – saving £5.50 on the normal cost.

The case is designed to encourage customers to “explore within the finest* range”, a statement from Tesco said.
The 4-bottle case contains finest* Stellenbosch Sauvignon Blanc 2015, finest* South African Chenin Blanc 2015, finest* South African Malbec 2015 and finest* South African Shiraz 2015.
With all the wines having a recommended retail price of £5.50, the case amounts to a ‘buy three get one free’ offer.
The selection will be available in 280 stores from 23 March 2016. As well as the four wines, each case will also contain tasting notes.
Wine Buying Manager for South Africa, Dawn Webster-Smith, said: “To help customers explore the delights of South African wine at terrific prices, we have put together this great selection of finest*wines.
“The smaller mixed case offers shoppers outstanding value and more importantly a cross section of the range that really showcases some of the fantastic wines coming from South Africa at the moment.
“We are lucky to be working with renowned wine makers: Adi Badenhorst and Hermias Hugo, both dedicated to providing our customers with outstanding quality finest* wines at a great price.”
Terrible choice of SA wine, you need to rethink your selection if you want repeat custom or to increase your market share in the fabulous wines of Stellenbosch. Take this extremely poor example off the shelves.
