‘Superfruit’ liqueur goes on sale at Selfridges
Japanese drinks specialist Isake has unveiled a new liqueur made from the so-called superfruit yuzu.

Called Enamor, the liqueur has been created by drinks expert Xavier Chapelou and was conceived by philanthropist Seema Lohia, sister of steel magnate, and once India’s richest man, Lakshmi Mittal.
The drink combines “keen grapefruit notes and fresh bergamot aromas” and will be available from Selfridges Wine Shop in London from April 1.
Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit that, according to several recent newspaper reports is “the darling of chefs” and is now “taking the world by storm”.
The fruit is reported to contain three times more vitamin C than a lemon.
“I was deeply honoured when Ms Lohia approached me to be involved with the creation of this exciting new drink,” said Chapelou.
“I was flattered that she was aware of my previous work in regards to Isake Classic Sake and Prucia Plum Liqueur. With Enamor, I am confident we have managed to capture both her warmth and elegance.”
Isake states that the liqueur is “a stunning fusion of French, Japanese and Indian cultures” which can be drunk over ice with a twist or as a low-calorie alternative to a Margarita.
This stuff is fantastic. The better tasting alternative for Limoncello.
