Spirit Cartel searching for ambassador
London-based spirits agency the Spirit Cartel is on a quest to find a “sour mash sage” to become the UK brand ambassador for Kentucky Bourbon brand Four Roses, the company has announced.

Launching an X Factor-style recruitment drive under the ‘Kentucky Needs You’ slogan, the company said the new ambassador would be an integral part of the Spirit Cartel’s Four Roses campaign in 2016 and beyond.
“This is a highly desirable career-defining opportunity that no Bourbon enthusiast will want to miss,” said Spirit Cartel consiglieri Charles Marshall.
“We want a grain guru who eats, sleeps and breathes Four Roses.Oh, and they must be able to mix a mean drink and spin a yarn; a sour mash sage with flair and a thorough understanding of the bar industry, excellent trade relationships and the ability to engage the drinks fraternity with Four Roses.”
“It’s a fantastic chance to put in to play your spirits knowledge, marketing flair and business acumen on one of the spirit world’s truly great names,” Marshall added.
Spirit Cartel’s recruitment drive is part of the company’s drive to increase consumer engagement by engaging in more light-hearted promotional activity and “challenge the norm”.
Candidates for the position are invited to send their CVs and up to 300 words explaining why they would be suitable for the role to entries@fourroses.co.uk by 14 March.
Five finalists will then be selected to attend final auditions in London on 4 April, when they will present their case, take part in a Four Roses quiz and demonstrate their cocktail skills.
The appointment of the Four Roses UK Brand Ambassador will be announced the next day, with the successful candidate becoming the face of the brand in the UK.
The ambassador role will include a trip to the Four Roses Distillery in Kentucky as a guest, after which the ambassador will host all future trips to the distillery from the UK.
The Spirit Cartel represents some of the world’s most prominent spirits brands, including Four Roses Kentucky Bourbon, Don Q Rum, Monkey 47 Schwartzwald gin, Clase Azul Tequila and Kappa Pisco.
