RAW to open pop-up wine bar at London Edition
Isabelle Legeron MW, founder of natural wine fair RAW, is to open a pop-up wine bar at the London Edition hotel in Fitzrovia ahead of the wine show in May.
Running from 4-16 May in the basement of the Ian Schrager-designed hotel on Berners’ Street, the RAW bar will serve over 100 low-intervention organic, biodynamic and natural wines that will be on pour at the fair.
A large chunk of the list will be available by the glass, including a number of older vintages from various estates to prove that natural wines have the ability to age. The wines will be served alongside charcuterie and cheese boards from London Edition’s restaurant, Berners Tavern.
During the two-week pop-up a number of the winemakers due to exhibit at the fair will make guest appearances at the bar to pour their wines to the public.
2016 marks the fifth year of RAW, which was launched by Legeron in 2012. This year’s fair will take place at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane on 15-16 May.
In addition to a large selection of organic, biodynamic and natural wines, the fair will boast artisan food stalls and a selection of craft beers.
