Beer lover completes three-year pub crawl
A blogger has finished a pub crawl that has seen him visit a pub beside all 270 of London’s underground stations over the course of three years.

Sam Cullen, a 28-year-old blogger and beer fan, visited his 270th London pub, The Defectors Weld in Shepherds Bush, on Saturday 5 March.
The visit marked the completion of his challenge to visit a pub beside every London Underground station in the city.
The parliamentary researcher was inspired to take on the three-year-long journey after watching a documentary about the 150th anniversary of the tube.
He has since gone on to drink in an average of two pubs near underground stations a week, writing a review of each one.
Cullen is now hoping to turn his blog into a book.
He announced on Twitter on Sunday morning: “That’s that then – 270 stations, 270 pubs! @defectorsweld review up soon, in the meantime thanks to everyone who read the blog over last 3 years”.
Writing about his experiences on his blog INNside Track, Cullen focuses as much on the tube stations as he does on the pubs he visits, thus combining his passion for beer with his interest in the London Undergound.
The order of his pub choices was done chronologically, from the oldest station to the most recently opened station.
“The rules are simple, I’m visiting the stations in the order they opened,” Cullen writes. “The pub I visit doesn’t have to the closest to the tube station, it just can’t be closer to any other station on the network.”
Cullen also took to Twitter to thank his 941 followers, who he often asked for pub recommendations when travelling to a new part of the city, for their help.
“Special thanks to everyone who has sent in recommendations and suggestions,” he said. “Its been appreciated and I hope you all enjoyed the ride!”
