Langguth Erben appoints new director of sales
German wine producer FW Langguth Erben has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of a new international director of sales.
Matt Giedraitis took on the position of international director of sales at FW Langguth Erben, which produces wine brands including Blue Nun, Erben, Medinet and Erben Weingut 1789 Finest Riesling, on 1 March 2016.
Giedraitis has more than 16 years of experience working within the wine industry, having previously worked for E&J Gallo and Peter Mertes. Most recently he was export manager at Dr. Loosen.
Giedraitis will work closely with Patrick FW Langguth, who has stepped up to the position of CEO, and will report directly to the company’s managing director of marketing and sales, André Weltz.
FW Langguth Erben is a privately owned winery with a history that dates back to 1789. Founded by Franz Wilhelm Langguth, the company is now in the eighth generation of family ownership and is based in Traben-Trarbach on the Mosel and in Berlin.
Its wine portfolio features brands including Erben Wine, Medinet, Angel Reef, Toscanell, Ferrini, El Cortez, Sontino, Edler von Mornag, Langguth Himmlisches Tröpfchen and the South African brand Kaya.
