Former head of ASC joins Vinfolio as CEO
Don St. Pierre Jr, who co-founded ASC Fine Wines in 1996, has joined Vinfolio in California as CEO, effective from 4 March.

Based in Vinfolio’s headquarters in San Francisco, Don St. Pierre Jr will be responsible for the sales, procurement, consignment, storage and operations of Vinfolio following a US$4.4 million round of investment.
Founded in 2003, Vinfolio is a renowned fine wine merchants which caters to collectors and investors worldwide through its VinCellar cellar management platform.
“Don is the perfect person to leverage Vinfolio’s industry-leading position in the buying, selling and storing of the world’s finest wines,” said Jean-Michel Valette, Chairman of the Board of Vinfolio.
“Don’s vast global experience and relationships in all aspects of fine wine dovetail perfectly with Vinfolio’s goal of being a trusted partner between producers and consumers of fine and rare wines.”
St. Pierre Jr co-founded ASC Fine Wines in 1996, which he built into one of China’s leading importer of premium wines, commanding 26 offices across Asia and over 1,200 staff. He sold the company in 2010 to Suntory Holdings but remained as CEO, and then as a board member and senior advisor until the announcement of his resignation in December 2015.
“Vinfolio’s unique platform, focused on the fine wine market and combining full service storage, sales and cellar management was extremely attractive to me,” he said.
