A look inside… Little Bat
“Twinkle, twinkle, little bat! How I wonder what you’re at!” so went the Lewis Carroll poem recited by the Mad Hatter at the tea party in Alice in Wonderland.
Little Bat
Having named his first bar after an utterance in Carroll’s Jaberwocky poem; “Oh frabjous day! Callooh Callay!” founder Richard Wynne thought it sweet and fitting to name his second cocktail spot Little Bat.
Choosing to set up shop in trendy Islington, the bar features a botanical garden, floating bookshelves and a magic wardrobe in a hat tip to the Shoreditch original.
Among the kooky cocktails on offer are the Bathtub Sour, featuring Apricot infused Bathtub gin, lemon juice, peach bitters and egg white; and the Pecan Manhattan made with pecan infused Woodford Rye, Antica Formula and walnut bitters.
Bar snacks meanwhile include rosemary and onion Scotch eggs and Marmite popcorn. Click on for a look at some of the cocktails on offer at the bar.
