Wines Unearthed hailed as a success
Nearly half of the producers that exhibited in the Wines Unearthed section of the London Wine Fair last year have now found distribution in the UK market.

As much as 45% of the 70 wine producers that took part in the Wines Unearthed at LWF 2015 have told this year’s organisers that they are now in business in the UK.
One of last year’s participants, Tom Davey, commercial manager of Gaby/Moya/Moya Meaker, said: “Wines Unearthed at the London Wine Fair in 2015 was a perfect proposition for us as an independent producer.”
The second edition of Wines Unearthed is taking place over LWF2016 from 3-5 May, and is being organised by Judy Kendrick and Ana Sofia Oliveira, who hope to attract more exhibitors and high-profile buyers this year.
“To be able to tell importers, agents or buyers that our exhibitors are ‘ready-to-export’ is key to our concept and we believe that it is what convinced so many of them to visit us in May this year”, they said in a joint statement.
To be given a stand at Wines Unearthed, a producer has to apply to exhibit and is then selected on proof of product quality.
Prior to the Fair, producers will receive a ‘The Road Map to Export’ which tells them about the UK market, and they will attend a seminar before the London Wine Fair begins.
This year’s the seminar will be chaired by Robert Joseph with Roger Jones from the award-winning The Harrow at Little Bedwyn giving the on-trade perspective.
