Vinexpo announces bettane+desseauve partnership

Vinexpo has announced it is launching a new event with French wine experts Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve to be launched at this year’s Vinexpo Hong Kong.

‘Vinexpo feat. bettane+desseauve’ will debut at this year’s Vinexpo Hong Kong from 24-26 May and feature again at Vinexpo Bordeaux in 2017.

The new event is designed as a series of tastings unveiling new products, unveiling the talents of up and coming young winemakers and rare and surprising wines, in order to “put winemaking back at the centre” of Vinexpo’s events schedule.

The new brand will also operate independently of Vinexpo exhibitions, taking place as a stand-alone event throughout the year in a variety of potential formats and on various topics.

Guillaume Deglise, Vinexpo’s chief executive, is delighted with this new initiative: “Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve are internationally renowned wine and spirits experts. They’ve built up a very special relationship with winegrowers through their multiple activities in the sector. The creation of the Vinexpo feat. bettane+desseauve brand puts winegrowing right back at the centre of our events.”
