Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is recognised as one of eventing’s toughest challenges and is one of only six elite CCI4* competitions in the world.
The competition is held from 1-4 September 2016 at Burghley Park, Stamford in Lincolnshire within the stunning parkland of Burghley House.
Peter Phillips, co-chairman of The Festival of British Eventing commented: “To have Pol Roger on board for this year’s Festival of British Eventing is a real coup. Pol Roger care passionately about the sport of eventing as we do at The Festival.
“We look forward to an exciting event in this Olympic year and to be part of Pol Roger’s strong portfolio of events both in the equestrian world and beyond is very valuable to us all. We look forward to a long and happy association.”
Elizabeth Inman, Event Director, Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials said: “Pol Roger plays an important part in our event at Land Rover Burghley and we are delighted that they have extended this partnership to The Festival of British Eventing.
“The association allows us all to develop a stronger profile for the sport and we look forward to building on the partnership in the years to come.”
Paul Graham, Business Development Director of Pol Roger Ltd said: “This is an important day for Pol Roger and the significance of the launch party here at Hyde Park Barracks, the home of the Household Cavalry, allows us to cement our relationships in the equestrian world.
“The sport of eventing evolved from a test of military chargers, a complete test of the Army horse and it is here that we celebrate our sponsorship in the world of eventing.
“We could not be more delighted to be supporting these two prestigious events and, of course, the riders who play such an important part of this relationship.”
