Grands Chais appoints new UK MD
Les Grands Chais de France has appointed Mark Kears as the group’s new managing director for UK and Ireland.
Mark was previously UK off-trade director for the group and prior to joining GCF worked at Senior Commercial level at Treasury Wines, Anheuser-Busch and Bulmers.
In his new role, Mark will direct all UK and Irish operations through a commercial and support team of over 30 people.
Frederic Helfrich, commercial director, Les Grands Chais de France, and son of the company’s founder comments: “The UK & Ireland are essential export markets for Les Grands Chais de France.
“The new management structure will ensure that we build on excellent foundations and further develop sales of our brands, domains and chateaux in growth channels and strengthen our close relationship with the on-trade and independents partners.”
Les Grands Chais de France is a producer and distributor of over 700 wines from all of the main regions of France.
