Vinopolis just days from closure
Vinopolis, which calls itself London’s “leading wine experience”, will be closing its doors in just a few days’ time.

In its 16-year existence, Vinopolis has hosted 1,280,000 visitors, including Sir Michael Caine, Kevin Spacey, James Corden and James Bay.
Over 420,000 liters of wine have been poured at the site, with more than 560,000 bottles of wine being served since 1999.
“It is naturally a very sad day,” said Vinopolis managing director Samantha Anderson in February 2015, just after its closure was announced.
Anderson added: “Vinopolis is something of a London landmark for event bookers and conferences but this is the best possible decision for the business.”
In 2012, Vinopolis underwent a multi-million pound development, adding a new winery, an Italian restaurant and a “geography zone” designed to teach visitors about the differences between wines from various climates.
The business will officially close on 31 December 2015, but there are only four days left until Vinopolis stops taking visitors.
The 2.5-acre site will be converted into a high-end retail development next year.
