Two arrested over $4k wine theft in Napa
Two men have been arrested following a wine crime spree that saw US$4,000 worth of high-end wine stolen from a number of wine shops in Napa County.
Police were called to Nob Hill Foods in Napa County on Monday, after a trio of men allegedly stole 14 bottles of wine, as reported by SFGate.
One of the men was detained by staff while two others fled the scene. Police caught up with the pair on the Highway, arresting Phu Nguyen, 51, and Chi Ung, 37. Officers discovered 60 bottles of wine worth thousands of dollars inside the car, as well as cocaine and “individually packed baggies of methamphetamine.”
Both men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, grand theft, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of cocaine and conspiracy, police said.
The third man has not been identified.
