Trash talking NFL fans stump up beer

Jeering fans of the New England Patriots were forced to buy a beer for an opposition player after their pre-game jive proved misplaced.

Being fans of one of the NFL’s leading franchises, they were clearly expecting their team to win last Sunday night as they prepared to watch the Patriots take on the faltering Philadelphia Eagles in a home game.

Positioned close to the Eagles’ bench a few fans began to dish out some mild ‘trash talk’ to Eagles Linebacker, Connor Barwin, telling him he wasn’t going to get any ‘sacks’ (tackle the quarterback) and how his team was going to lose.

As he reported after the game, Barwin simply turned around and said: “Just make sure you have a beer ready for me after we win.”

Barwin went on to sack Patriots’ quarterback, Tom Brady, twice and made six more crucial tackles as the Eagles recorded a surprise 35-28 win over New England, who slumped to their second straight defeat..

As he left for the locker room Barwin passed by the fans who, to their credit, presented him with a beer as requested.
