Ruinart puts Chardonnay in the spotlight

Champagne house Ruinart is “shining a light” on Chardonnay next year with the launch of a new consumer tasting initiative.

Based around its Blanc de Blancs, the event will highlight the house’s “expertise” with the grape.

Called the ‘Ruinart Lighthouse’, the new programme will run from 8-10 February next year in an exhibition space at an, as yet, undisclosed location in the City.

The space will be split into three areas, the first looking at the history of the house, the second offering an “interactive and educational experience” with regards Ruinart’s use of Chardonnay and a final area where cellarmaster Frédéric Panaïotis will welcome guests and lead them through a tasting of the blanc de blancs, rosé and Dom Ruinart 2004 and 2002 Rosé.

Frédéric Dufor, Ruinart’s CEO, said: “Ruinart really is the house that captured the light and savoir faire of Chardonnay.

“Through a digital and contemporary experience, and as a tribute to the most elegant grape of Champagne, we will offer for the first time an event and tasting experience open to the public.”

Ticket sales will go live on 11 January 2016 at www.ruinart.com priced at £35.

Hi There, was trying to buy tickets for this yesterday but couldn’t see anything on their website. Just wondering if you knew anything? has the release been delayed?
    Many thanks,
    Aoife.
