Elk caught with bottle of 2008 Napa Cabernet
An elk has been photographed sucking on a bottle of super-premium Napa Cabernet in Colorado.

The elk’s antics were captured by Lori Vina Guelich, a resident in Evergreen, Colorado, who posted her photos on Facebook, where they quickly went viral, eventually stirring interest from local television and radio networks.
As reported by WDAM-TV, Ms Guelich spotted the animal taking the bottle from her neighbour’s recycling bin.
The elk appears to have had good taste – the bottle was reported to have been a 2008 Buoncristiani Napa Cabernet – a wine that critic Robert Parker awarded 90 points and which sells for around $50.
No doubt, like Parker, the antlered boozer found it a “dense, chewy wine laced with black fruit, liquorice, spices and violets”.
The choice of bottle may come as a surprise to some people, who might have expected the creature to opt for a nice Stags Leap, or perhaps a Château Moose-ar.
