As many as one million UK households will buy beer online in December, 200,000 more than 2014, the Belgian brewer behind Budweiser and Stella Artois predicted.
Research commissioned by the company has also revealed that half of Brits are planning to serve beer to their guests on Christmas Day.
Two-thirds of over-25s will be hosting a festive party in December, with 38% of those planning a set menu of drinks to serve.
Hosts are extending their beer repertoire with plans to serve an average of three different types of beer, with lager, ale and stout being the most popular choices, the survey of 2000 people says.
Dries Mertens, eMarketing manager, AB InBev says: “We are predicting 2015 will be a record year for online beer delivery sales – our biggest yet.
“Not only is beer a popular beverage at Christmas parties, but we are seeing a growing interest in pairing beer with food – and Christmas lunch is perfect for this.”
