Tesco relaunches cheap Xmas fizz
UK retailer Tesco has relaunched its sub-£10 Champagne offer in time for the Christmas season, with Louis Delaunay Brut on offer for £9 per bottle.
In a move to take on the discount retailers Aldi and Lidl that are expected to offer Champagne at a similarly low price this year, the Louis Delaunay Champagne will be available at the new price in all Tesco stores for just five days from 12 to 17 November.
The £9 price tag is £1 more expensive than last year when the UK retailer first launched the cut-price Champagne deal.
Earlier this year, the Champagne won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Tesco Champagne buyer Rob Dixon said: “Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate with friends and family so we’re delighted to be offering customers such good value on this high quality bottle of Champagne.
