Police were called to reports of a stolen Miller Coors truck on Monday, as reported by wtvm.com, with Gregory Miller, 55, leading authorities on a short police chase through Columbus, Georgia.
The botched theft ended with Miller crashing the semi-truck into a fence behind a restaurant, but not before running over his own leg as he jumped out of the vehicle, which he had not left in park, leaving him with severe injuries to his ankle.
Once released Miller will face charges of theft by taking a motor vehicle and eluding police.
Police believe the truck had been left running during a delivery, giving Miller the opportunity to take off with the truck, and its load.
