Officers carried out a raid at the unnamed property in Edmonton to discover a number of staff delivering beer and liquor, concealed inside pizza boxes, after hours.

A total of 240 cans of beer and 100 bottles of hard liquor, estimated to be worth nearly $2,000, were confiscated according to reports by ctvnews.ca. However the street value of the alcohol was said to be worth closer to $4,000.

The pizzeria, which has not been named by the police, was closed for one day. Four of its employees are facing fines and further penalties could be brought against the business, which could include revoking its business license.
